Do I need any experience?
No. Complete beginners are very welcome. Returning and developing players are also a good fit, particularly if you feel stuck or are unsure what to practise next.
What ages do you teach?
The lessons are primarily designed for adults and older teenagers. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss lessons for someone younger.
Do I need an electric guitar?
Electric guitar is my main focus, but acoustic guitar and fingerstyle can be included where they suit your interests. If you are choosing your first instrument, we can talk about that on the discovery call.
How do online lessons work?
We meet by video call. You will need a guitar, a stable internet connection and a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone. You play from your own space, using your own equipment, and receive feedback in real time.
How often should I take lessons?
Once a week is the recommended starting point. That gives you regular guidance and enough time to practise between lessons.
How much should I practise?
Consistency matters more than heroic sessions. Twenty focused minutes several times a week can be far more useful than a single long practice when you are exhausted. We will build a realistic plan around your time.
Can I learn songs I choose?
Yes. Your music matters. We will use songs you enjoy while also choosing material that helps you develop the skills behind them.
Do you teach theory?
Yes, but always with a practical reason. Theory should make the guitar clearer, not add another layer of confusion.
Is the discovery call a free lesson?
No. It is a free 30-minute conversation about your current playing, your goals and whether we are a good fit. You will not be pressured to book lessons.
What happens if we are not the right fit?
I will tell you honestly. If another teacher in my network is better suited to your goals, I will do my best to point you in the right direction.
Do you offer in-person lessons?
In-person lessons may be available in the Barcelona metropolitan area, depending on distance and schedule. Pricing is agreed by arrangement.
What are the lesson prices?
One-hour lessons are £50 in the UK, €50 in Spain, €60 in the rest of Europe and $75 in the United States. VAT may apply. We will confirm the exact price before your first paid lesson.
